August has been an exciting month here at Whoโs Listening, from fun-filled content days to crafting engaging posts, it’s been a whirlwind of creativity and success.
The team has been hard at work, not just meeting but exceeding expectations, delivering content that not only captures attention but also drives impressive results – this has led to a remarkable boost in engagement and interaction.
As we reflect on this bustling month, we’re excited to share the highlights and insights that made August so successful. Read on to see what we got up to and the exciting plans we have for the future.

Content Days
Something we do every month, but that doesn’t mean we donโt still love it! In August we started off at Allardโs, one of our longest-standing clients. We visited their Monkseaton restaurant to indulge in some delicious tapas, shooting content to showcase on their Instagram and Facebook pages.
We set up our shoot in their gorgeous orangery, which supplied us with the perfect natural lighting to get those mouth-wateringly detailed snaps of their food. On this visit, we focused on their breakfasts, where we got high-quality content of a variety of sweet and savoury dishes (of course, we may have even sampled a few too)… Go check out their instagram and see what we got up to.
Next we visited Dalton Moor Farm for a unique content shoot which forms part of a longer form project weโre working on with Jenny – the owner of Dalton Moor, to create a Brand Video encapsulating the story behind the farm and the people who tend it.
As part of the visit Elliott attended a Drum Circle, which is a mindfulness exercise where a group of around ten strangers gathered to learn to play various African Drums together in unison. This was followed by a Sound Bath, which is where attendees come from far and wide equipped with blankets and yoga mats – positioning themselves around the room to get comfy and drift off into a peaceful meditative state as gongs, Buddha bowls and shakers are played in an otherwise silent room.
โThe hardest part of the task was staying awake through the Sound Bathโ Elliott told us, โIt was a little bit too relaxing to let me do my job!โ. Weโre happy to report, Elliott did not in fact fall asleep and damage the camera.
The final content shoot of the month saw the team pay a visit to James Cornwell Interiors in Stanley. As part of this project we interviewed the Founder, Steve, to learn the origins of the business and how far theyโve come to be where they are today. He had some funny stories to tell and interesting insights into the interior design industry that weโre excited to share on their socials, so go and check out James Cornwell Interiors on Instagram if you would like to find out more about what he had to say.
Win Tickets To See Newcastle United VS. Manchester City
In August, we also launched our latest competition in collaboration with one of our fantastic clients, Northern Standard Mortgages – oh and itโs a blockbuster prize!
The winner of this competition will get their hands on TWO hospitality tickets for Newcastle Unitedโs home fixture against reigning champions Manchester City at St Jamesโ Park on Saturday the 28th of September 2024.
As part of the prize the winner will get access to The Barracks for up to 3 hours before kick-off, where there will be a selection of hot food and a talk from an ex-pro. After the game, the venue remains open for a few hours where there will be live music.
If youโre reading this before the 19th of September 2024 then there is still a chance for you to win, go and check out the pinned post on our Instagram!
Impressive Results
Thanks to our carefully crafted content strategies, throughout August we saw a range of impressive results across a multitude of clients.
On Facebook, we connected with nearly 200,000 users, and on Instagram, our clientโs follower count surged by an impressive 130%!
Over on TikTok, we increased views by more than 100,000, and the best part? We keep improving month after month!

It Wasn’t All Work And No Play
And of course weโve kept ourselves busy outside of work, with our very own dog-whisperer Elliott looking after pooches of all shapes and sizes, from a hefty British Bulldog to a Jack Russell and Dachshund duo.
Shane (tried) to take a well-deserved child-free break by flying over to Benidorm, but of course, took his laptop with himโฆ
Katie made her way down to a very windy Leeds Fest and somehow managed to survive storm Lillian when most tents had blown away.
And we want to say a heartfelt good-bye to Maddie, who has left us to relocate, starting a new adventure in Cumbria! A big thank you for all your hard work whilst working at Whoโs Listening and weโre wishing you all the best.
Good-bye Summerโฆ
With the Summer gone (hopefully we still get a bit of September sun) and a whirlwind August behind us, weโre excited to see what the rest of the year will have in store for WL. Weโre currently actively recruiting for a variety of roles – check them out over on Indeed if youโre interested in becoming part of the team.
